CNC Software desired a corporate home office where it could take maximum advantage of its unique rural 20 acre setting. The site accommodates both employee amenities and facility energy related features. Employee can use jogging, biking paths and a hockey pond that is also designed as a retention area for water run off.
The site also contains a 300 foot long photovoltaic array that offsets its electrical needs and a bio-fuel power generator. Site area also provided space for enough geothermal wells to substantially offset the heating and cooling loads of the building.
The 51,000 square foot building, built in two phases, is positioned to take maximum advantage of the wooded setting providing ideal views from all offices.
The building provides for a quiet relaxed setting for employees, each with individual private offices. One of the goals was to provide a many corner offices as possible which also help break the building’s massing into smaller scaled pods. It also contains A CNC Machine lab, work shops, shipping, receiving and other support spaces. In addition to the business operation spaces it also provides a fitness center, gymnasium, bicycle shop and other employee support areas.
